About Fine Art Restorations: Serving North York and the GTA Since 1981
Restoration Training Received in Europe
Established in North York in 1981, Fine Art Restorations is owned by H. Franciscy. Franciscy studied fine art restoration in Europe, training in Budapest and Vienna with her late husband George, prior to moving to Toronto’s Willowdale area where they decided to open their own restoration studio. Our studio has always been conveniently located at 209 Sheppard Ave. East from day one.
An Ongoing Passion for Preserving the Past
If you have an oil painting that is faded, dirty or discoloured from being in a smoking environment or has a ripped canvas, Franciscy can bring it back to life through the miracle work of art restoration. She painstakingly researches, cleans, conserves and repairs many types of artwork, ranging from paintings to sculptures, ceramics and even porcelain. Preserving the past remains her passion even after all these years.
